Assoc. Prof. Liangming ChenSouthern University of Science and Technology, China |
||
Biography: Liangming Chen is an associate professor in the Center for Control Science and Technology, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China. Before joining SUSTech, he was a postdoctoral research fellow under the supervision of Prof Lihua Xie (Fellow of Academy of Engineering Singapore, IEEE Fellow) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is (was) a guest editor in the SCI journal Electronics, an associate editor in the conference ECC2024、ICARCV 2022, and a co-chair in a session of ICCA 2019. His previous research was supported by a number of research funds from, e.g., National Natural Science Foundation of China. He and his collaborators developed the angle rigidity graph theory and applied it to multi-agent formation control and distributed localization. His research works were published in many top journals, including IEEE TAC, Automatica, IEEE TCST (top journals in control systems society), IEEE TRO (top journal in robotics and automation society) and IEEE TSP (top journal in signal processing society), etc. He was authorized by 4 national patents. His research group in SUSTech focuses on both theoretical and engineering topics mainly in graph rigidity and its applications. His research group aims at obtaining high-impact research results. His current interests include rigidity graph theory and multi-agent systems, unmanned swarm and robotics, brain-inspired intelligence and neural networks. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an associate editor in the editorial board of EUCA. He has been funded by the National Talent Program Youth Project, China and the Shenzhen Overseas Talent Program, China. |
